Starting as a Silver Award Project around 10 years ago, and continuing today as part of an annual community service project, the Pawtucket Girl Scout Troops get together to make quilts for the pediatric centers of local hospitals.

The Girl Scouts donated more than 50 quilts. “The quilts will bring many happy smiles to young patients,” noted Nancy Amedee, RN, Assistant Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Unit at the hospital. “We appreciate the Girl Scouts’ kindness,” she added.
