Dedham, MA-AliMed Inc. released details for the Interactive Therapeutics line of Critical Communicators, a new way for first responders and medical staff to speak with emergency patients who have difficulty communicating in English.
Using line drawings as images of common ailments accompanied by English and non-English phrases, these heavy-duty cards allow communication in the 21 most common languages in the United States, including English, Spanish, French, Polish, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Farsi (Iranian), Tagalog (Filipino), Hmong (Laotian), Greek, Indonesian, Hebrew, Hindi, and Japanese.
AliMed Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jon Bretz says, “Speed and communication are vital to emergency care. Critical Communicators provide a crucial link between first responders and their non-English speaking patients, and they can be used instantly to prevent costly delays in care. They help solve problems in first response care, and remove the barrier where there is no commonly understood language.”
Further useful features include a pain scale, numbers, letters, days of the week, and other essential information to enable first responders to rapidly assess and render care. Each set of reusable Critical Communicators is packaged in a clear, easy-zip polybag.
