Clinical Support – RN/LPN

Our Portsmouth practice hours are:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Qualified applicants must be available during these hours on a varying, rotating schedule.

We are looking for a Clinical Support nurse to join our Care Team!! The successful candidate will assist assigned provider with patient care procedures in the exam room, responds to patient telephone and/or drop-in patient requests, administers immunizations and allergy shots, and coordinates and/or performs patient assessment in support of provider care plans.

Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate patient-focused visit by ensuring proper screening, documentation, and/or testing has been completed.

2. Respond to patient and provider requests in a timely manner.

3. Coordinate lab result reporting to ensure provider and patient needs are met.

4. Performs necessary ancillary tests such as EKGs, PFTs, Peak Flow Rates, phlebotomy and lab specimen collection/processing, eye screening and audiology screening in accordance with current MPHC competency level.

5. Maintain clinical/technical skills and knowledge through ongoing development and continuing education.

6. Ensure exam rooms are prepared for patient visits, including equipment operability, supply inventory, and cleanliness.

7. Administer immunizations, allergy shots and medications in accordance with MPHC protocol and current MPHC competency level.

8. Perform direct patient care services (e.g., level of nurse visit activities) in accordance with MPHC clinical protocol in a patient-focused manner.

9. Coordinates and/or performs patient assessment with assigned provider and/or licensed nursing staff.

10. Using current, prepared information and resources, provides patient education in support of patient visit and ongoing care.

11. Assist with orientation and training of new staff members.

12. Ensure patient care equipment operates in accordance with quality standards.

Education/Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· License Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
· Experience in a physician’s office setting or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
