How Regional Hospitals Have Overcome The Challenges Of Implementing New Technology

In today’’s hospitals, many diverse forces are being brought
to bear on their technology infrastructure. And in many situations, the forces are at conflict with each other. Resolving those conflicts is the major challenge identified by the hospital executives (CEO, CIO, and CFO) I interviewed the past few months.
Their hospitals were public and private, while some were part of a large network. They ranged in size from very large to small, and were community institutions with a variety of in-house practices and specializations. This is the first in a series of articles that will examine those situations and provide some insight into how problems were addressed or overcome.
